Consultant Position Open at Washington, DC office
Timeframe: Mid February to Mid May

ILRF seeks a highly motivated and super organized consultant to assist with the organization of ILRF’s annual awards ceremony, and coordinate the development of a women’s rights at work campaign.


A. Assist ILRF event coordinator in all aspects of event organizing and implementation:

1. Work with ILRF’s fundraising team and Executive Director to develop and execute an event production plan.

2. Assist in coordination of design and production of event promo materials

3. Work with venue staff to coordinate logistics

4. Draft and coordinate mailings to Host Committee members, Sponsors, individual invitees.

5. Recommend promotional ideas and provide additional support as needs are identified.

B. Organize a half-day conference to build support for women’s rights at work campaign

1. Develop materials (proposals and talking points) with supporting data on women’s rights and security at work, particularly in the apparel industry, for use in outreach, campaign development, and event sponsorship prospecting.

2. Research and seek support from women’s rights organizations and funders.

3. Develop a strategy for outreach to congressional representatives, funders, apparel companies and women’s rights organizations to promote interest in the women’s rights campaign and their participation at the awards event.

4. Develop and help submit funding proposals for the spring conference and subsequent events.

5. Take initiative to develop broader outreach strategies to new allies in support of the women’s rights campaign.
