Tim Newman, Campaigns Assistant, International Labor Rights Forum
By a vote of 80-17, the Senate has finally confirmed President Obama's pick for Secretary of Labor,
Hilda Solis. After a long process filled with delays, we finally have new leadership at the Department of Labor. At a time of crisis for workers, we hope that Solis will usher in a new day for labor rights in the US and globally. Congratulations to Secretary Solis!
